The Day Before - Mar 13, 2023

Packing's done--but of course I'm about a week later than Fe got hers done.  She is a better packer than I am.

Flight details (out):

Harrisburg (MDT) to Philadelphia (PHL), American  #AA5990, 1:52 pm

Philadelphia (PHL) to Paris (CDG), American  #AA0754, 7:26 pm

Paris hotel--we'll be here Mar 15-17 (two nights)

Pullman Paris Montparnasse

On the way to the river port, we'll see the Reims Cathedral (France) and then the Luxembourg American Cemetery.  After this we'll be on the way to our Viking cruise ship, the Idi, at Trier (Germany).  Then it's Cochem, Koblenz, Mainz, and Speyer (all in Germany), Strasbourg (France), and Basel (Switzerland).  

I'll provide links to all those towns when we're there, so all you happy clickers (like me) can relax.

We're bused from Basel to Zurich and we're staying at the Sheraton Zurich Hotel from 3/24-26.

Flight details (home):

Zurich (ZRH) to Chicago (ORD), Swissair #LX8, 1:10 pm

Chicago (ORD) to Harrisburg (MDT), United #UA1168, 6:00 pm

So that's four countries in about twelve days.  Fe says it's unusual to have the land extensions (Paris and Zurich) included in the price--and the airfare was included since it was arranged by Viking too.  Along with her voucher, it looks like we got a good deal.
